Privacy Policy
Bloom ("the App", "we", "us") is a personal coffee recipe and pour timer app for iOS, developed by Isabel Laurenceau. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — used to identify your account and send a confirmation email when you sign up with email/password.
- Display name — set to your Apple name (if you sign in with Apple) or "Coffee Lover" by default. You can change this in the app.
- Profile handle — a unique identifier generated automatically (e.g., @brewer_a1b2c3d4).
- Recipe data — recipes, timer preferences, and settings you create in the app.
The App does not collect location data, payment information, contacts, photos, or any other sensitive personal data.
How We Use Your Data
- To create and maintain your account.
- To sync your recipes and preferences across devices.
- To respond to account deletion requests.
We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for any purpose beyond operating the App.
Data Storage & Third-Party Services
Your account and recipe data is stored using Supabase, a third-party database and authentication service. Supabase stores data on secure servers. You can review Supabase's privacy practices at supabase.com/privacy.
If you sign in with Apple, your authentication is handled by Apple. Apple may share your name and email with us on your first sign-in per Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive your Apple password.
Beyond Supabase and Apple Sign-In, Bloom does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile › Settings › Delete Account). This permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers. If you need assistance, contact us at bloom.cups.clocks@gmail.com.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our servers within a reasonable time.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at bloom.cups.clocks@gmail.com.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
